When sexual stimulation leads to the local release of nitric oxide, PDE5 is inhibited by tadalafil, increasing cGMP levels in the corpora cavernosa of the penis. This results in smooth muscle relaxation, increased blood flow to the penile tissue, and erection. Without sexual stimulation, the drug may not be effective.

 

Dosage and Administration

 

The recommended dose is 30 mg, taken before sexual activity, regardless of food intake. If the effect of 30 mg is not significant, 50 mg can be taken, at least 30 minutes before sexual activity.

The maximum frequency of administration is once daily.
