Xenical CAS No. 282526-98-1 Xenical is a weight-loss ingredient with excellent fat-burning effects, capable of eliminating excess fats from the body. It is also known as Orlistat, Xilipid, or Sibutramine
Usage and Dosage
Primarily distributed locally in the gastrointestinal tract, especially the lipid layer of the jejunum. In total jejunum samples, the area under the time-concentration curve (AUC, reflecting drug exposure) of orlistat from 0 to 320 minutes was 5-14 times higher in the lipid layer than in the micellar layer, indicating accumulation in the jejunum lipid layer. After administration of long-chain fatty acid formulations, the drug can be transported via the lymphatic system, with significantly higher concentrations in the lymph than in plasma.
Metabolism
Existing studies have not clearly elucidated its metabolic process in vivo, suggesting minimal or negligible metabolism.
Excretion
The primary route of excretion is via feces, with approximately 97% of the unabsorbed drug being eliminated unchanged in the stool. The excretion profile of modified sustained-release formulations is consistent with that of conventional preparations.
